STONE & WEBSTER FUSRAP - PANGEA GROUP

Pangea was awarded a contract by Stone & Webster in August 2000 to provide a Radwaste Transportation and Disposal (T&D) Coordinator for Stone & Webster at the FUSRAP St. Louis Airport Site (SLAPS). Additional contracts have since been awarded since then. At present, the three professional staff working at the SLAPS includes a Health Physicist, an Environmental Sampling Coordinator, and the T&D Coordinator position.

Primary responsibilities of Pangea staff at the SLAPS include the following functions:

Oversight of Radiation Protection Program including review of personnel monitoring data and review of soil sampling data
Coordination of soil confirmation sampling following
Environmental monitoring of air and stormwater runoff
Tracking of radiological waste shipments to Envirocare and Envirosafe
Determination of DOT Hazard Classes of Waste Shipments
Development of shipping papers and waste manifests for radwaste shipments
